Our annual publication, Bijutsu Shijō, has long been regarded as a trusted reference among collectors, gallerists, and professionals across Japan. We remain deeply grateful for the support of our readers, which continues to sustain our work.
In addition to our continued print publication, we have launched this online platform to share the richness and subtle depth of Japanese fine art—including Yōga (Western-style painting), Nihonga, and ceramics—with a global audience in real time. Japanese art often carries an ineffable sense of mystery and spiritual resonance, qualities that invite contemplation beyond visual appreciation.
Rather than offering interpretive commentary, this site features original exhibition materials—pamphlet texts and images—submitted directly by artists and galleries. Through these authentic voices, we aim to create a window into the evolving landscape of contemporary Japanese art.
